How to best present a partially completed college degree on a resume?

Question:

I have 18 credits towards an M.A. in Organizational Communication completed. Due to financial reasons, I was able to complete the degree. I'm seeking a job in the organizational communication field.  Could you please tell me how to best present my completed efforts on a resume? I am considering listing the class titles/subject topics within classes that would best relate to my field such as Organizational Effectiveness, Organizational Culture, and Leadership. Would this be looked upon favorably? Also, I completed a prospectus (prelude to the master's thesis) on a topic within the organizational communication field. Although the prospectus isn't a published work, should I list it?
