Below is a resume example for someone just entering the professional workforce. This resume uses a Functional Resume Layout, a great option if you have minimal work experience as it highlights your skills and puts less emphasis on your work history. Use this as a guide if you just graduated from college and interested in applying for your first job.  The resume starts with contact information followed by an Objective Statement.  This is followed by a qualification profile - this outlines skills and why you are qualified for the position.  Next is the professional experience acquired to-date. Even though this is your first job, utilize skills from previous part time or full time jobs.  Next on the resume is the work history, followed by education and accolades/accomplishments.
